Compiling a world wide One Name Study of REVELEY, REAVELEY and other variants and have quite a few listed in towns throughout Northumberland and Durham, but just one family in Cumberland (the ones who emigrated in 1768).    I have them outlined from Burke's Peerage. We completed all of the US based REVELEY, REAVELEY's back in 1986, so just about any colonial REVELEY would be related. The REVELEY's owned the Allerdean, NBL collieries in the 18th century (I am still seeking to complete all those details), many were miners. The REVELEY's in America produced ammunition for the American Revolution at their Forges.
